CLOSE-UP MAGIC |
|
 |
Close-up magic refers to magic performed in close proximity to the audience. Also known in the trade as 'Sleight of Hand' or 'Intimate Magic', this branch of magic features the magician performing minor miracles at close quarters using smaller props such as cards, coins, rings and money.
This branch of magic has been highly popularized by well-known magicians such as David Blaine who performs close-up magic on the streets.
Usually highly interactive and audience participative, a professional magician can present close-up magic in 3 different forms:
Close-up/ Parlour Shows - Formal sit-down or stand-up shows for small audiences such as private parties, hospitality/ VIP suites and small venues
Walk-Around/ Mingling Magic - For cocktail receptions, stand-up parties and carnivals
Table-table Magic - For restaurants, pubs, bars and seated banquets |
